Hour4u

Hour4u is an hourly jobs platform for young students and workers in India. It enables driven youngsters to earn on their own terms and supports businesses to find trustworthy, qualified temp staff on time.

I led the content strategy, set up brand manifesto and the brand voice, wrote the copy for all communications, led UX writing for their website and app (B2B + B2C) during their pre-launch phase.

Hour4u Voice

I set up Hour4u's brand voice based on the shared values and created a brief guide for copy to represent a consistent voice across all channels.

UX Writing - Website

I wrote the UX copy (B2C + B2B) for the complete Hour4u website during their pre-launch and BETA launch phase. The goal was to introduce the service, create brand awareness and generate leads for the product.

B2B Website

For B2B website,  the landing banner needs to show that we understand and resolve the common problems the businesses face with temp staffing. And they can trust us to help them find qualified staff fitting their requirements.

Hour4u has been growing from WhatsApp groups since a few years to provide businesses with qualified temp staff who are called 'Champs'.

This term is significant because Hour4u is reputed for their immaculate post-sales service and quality of staff. So now, 'Champs' by Hour4u has become a benchmark for staff amongst local businesses. Hence, it was important to highlight in the copy.

UX Writing - App

I rewrote UX copy for the entire on-boarding flow of Hour4u BETA app. Here are a few examples of the screens I worked on.

Social Media Copy

I developed content strategy and wrote copy for Hour4u's social media, mainly Instagram. I have worked on various campaigns like pre-launch, on-boarding, referral campaign and more. Here are some examples of the content I have created.

Interview Stories

As Hour4u has been active for a while, it has created a community of determined young workers. These youngsters are very motivated to give their best in the work they do and earn their living on their own.

As part of Hour4u's initiative "Champ Stories", I interviewed these Champs and wrote their story talking about their experiences and journey being a part of Hour4u community.

The goal was to share the learnings of Champs and inspire other such youngsters who want to become financially independent.

Story writing process

The major challenges were faced in the transcription and story-writing phases. First, as the interviews are about 30 minutes long, the transcription shouldn't miss any important details.

Also, many Champs prefer Hindi as the language for interview while final stories are in English. Hence, the transcription and translation should capture all nuances of the conversation.

Lastly, as the story needs to be engaging and crisp, it took about 3-4 drafts, lots of highlighting and slightly more than normal amount of coffee to finally bring it to life.

Promotional Posts

I wrote content highlighting various benefits of joining Hour4u as part of different campaigns. The main goal is to drive people to the website.

The tone of these posts was supposed to be more informal as it catered to college students and young workers.

Miscellaneous

Apart from the published content, I wrote content for other brand and communication channels of Hour4u such as emails, pitch decks, and brand manifesto which are currently confidential.

"The Voice of Hour4u."

It's a pleasure to work with teammates who understand the core values of the company and share the same DNA. With Pranali it's been the same!

She has an unique ability to understand things and simplify them with words. She is really good at research, copywriting and has always delivered more than the expectations.
